| Old Agency Cemetery Cleanup The Three Forks Treasure Hunters Club in conjunction with the Indian Territory Treasure Hunting Club, the Eastern Oklahoma Cemetery Preservation Organization, and the Oklahoma Cemetery Preservation Association has been working on cleaning up and preserving the historic Old Agency Cemetery north of Muskogee. This Cemetery dates back to the 1850s and has mostly Creek Freedmen buried there. We have already put in two seasons of work and we have a lot more to do. Our cleaning season is from October until April. During the Winter of 2006 we finished cleaning the Harnage Cemetery in the Gooseneck Bend area of Muskogee. There is an album of pictures of the Harnage Cemetery Cleanup on our Photo Page. Everyone is invited to come out and help us with these cleanups. I have posted the dates of our 2007 work days on our Events Calendar. This is our way of giving back to history after all of the years of digging it up. |
| Kelly B Todd Kid's Hunt On June 4, 2006 we put on our first Kid's Hunt for the Annual Kelly B Todd Cerebral Palsy & Neuro-Muscular Foundation Walk. We had 200 prize tokens along with lots of clad money hid in the grass. The kids got to hunt finding all the coins they could until they found a prize token then they had to get back in line if they wanted to hunt again. We probably had close to 150 kids come through the field. There was volunteers from Three Forks Treasure Hunters Club and Indian territory Treasure Hunting Club that brought Metal Detectors and helped the kids. We have already been invited back so I am sure this will be an annual event for us because it was just too much fun. I'm posting some of the pictures of the Kid's Hunt on this page. To see all of the 165 pictures I took, go to the Photo Album Link on our Photo Page . |
